Random Thoughts about Google

Yesterday my team was about to think about Google and its services around the Globe. How they are slowly, slowly – of-course slowly again entering each one’s life, complete and thoroughly. According such google behaviour, we can predict about them. What they are going to do in future ? hahaha.. Don’t worry infosecplatform is not becoming GURU now. Few decent observations can predict bit more too..

Back to the Topic,

Titan Security Key is one of the best outcome from google research team. Since 2017 around 85,000 employees of google have not been hacked by using such security key.

Well, If you nicely able to hack someone’s username and password.. Good for you but from now on, this security key will help you to protect you from such bad/intelligent folks..

Google always recommended to enable two-step verification (2SV) to protect your online accounts. There are many forms of 2SV – from SMS messages codes, to the Google Authenticator app, to hardware second factors like security keys. And while any second factor will greatly improve the security of your account, for those who want the strongest account protection, google has long advocated the use of security keys for 2SV.

On 30th Aug 2018, They have launched Google Titan Security Key and available on Google Store.

Titan Security Keys:

Titan Security Keys are phishing-resistant two-factor authentication (2FA) devices that help protect high-value users such as IT admins. Titan Security Keys work with popular browsers and a growing ecosystem of services that support FIDO standards. They are built with a hardware chip that includes firmware engineered by google to verify the integrity of they key.
